It all started in Aberaeron in 2009. We launched Storm Development to bring web design, professional photography and video production together under one roof — and we've kept adding to that ever since.
Our story
We are Jon Siddall and Rebecca Leonhardt. We started Storm Development Ltd in February 2009, working from a home office minutes from the picturesque town of Aberaeron in Ceredigion. Today we're based in Penparc, near Cardigan.
We're committed to building long-term relationships with local businesses who want to make the most of the internet — and increasingly, of AI. We also bring in trusted local specialists whenever a project calls for extra hands.
The team
Technical Lead
Jon builds and maintains every website, server and now the custom software, plugins and AI tools we deliver. He's also our main photographer and videographer — editing and colour-grading in DaVinci Resolve Studio on a Mac Studio M2 Ultra with a Blackmagic Mini Colour Panel, and a fully insured, CAA-certified drone operator.
Client Care & Marketing
Rebecca brings a consulting and marketing background from large companies including Shop Direct and Yodel. She looks after client care, accounts and marketing — and has a soft spot for horses and animals of every kind.
Chief Morale Officer
Storm the Springer Spaniel is the youngest member of the team, in charge of morale. Skills include playing fetch, long runs on the beach, and reminding Jon and Rebecca to step away from their screens now and then.
How we work
Rebecca combines corporate communications, sales and marketing experience with Jon's technical and creative expertise across web design, software, AI, photography and video. We pride ourselves on delivering quality work, on time.
We keep our overheads low so our rates stay affordable, and we work flexible hours where needed, often outside the standard 9-to-5. Our business has grown almost entirely through recommendation — proof that a strong, well-marketed online presence works for businesses of any size.
